I especially despise the use of “V/R” as is usually seen from those in, or having been in, the military in the past 15-20 years. I even looked it up one time. The first definition for “V/R” was “Virtual Reality” but then I looked further and found “Very Respectfully.” I thought to myself, “Self, what is the difference between “Respectfully” and “Very Respectfully” and wouldn’t it be pretty disrespectful to only write “V/R” and never write it out?”
